Robert Frost “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening” I think the poem means that “I” wants to stay and watch the woods being covered in snow but he has to keep going. Speaker: the person riding the horse. Auditor: The person reading the poem. Circumstances: He wants to stop in the woods but knows that he must keep going. Figurative language: “The only other sound’s the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake.” this is an example of Assonance which is a resemblance of sound in words or syllables, it gives you an idea of haw the snow sounded.

Who was Dorothy Molter? Dorothy Molter was a young Chicago nurse that went with her parents one year to a fishing expedition in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Which is on both sides of the U.S. and Canada border, she did not know that this trip would change her life forever. When she moved to the BWCAW to live she started making root beer for the paddlers that came by all the girl scouts and boy scouts that went to her cabin loved drinking her root beer after a long day on the lakes. When Dorothy passed away they moved her cabin and all her things to Ely, Minnesota and made a museum for her and they still make her root beer. I am going to go through her life before she moved to Knife lake and her life while she lived there.

We all agreed that the lawyer was asking really personal questions and that she was getting confused because of the questions that he kept asking her and making it look like she was at fault for what happened.

I read this play because I thought that it would be interesting. after I read it I thought that the Lawyer was being pushy and was asking kinda personal questions about her body. Also he kept asking the same questions over and over again. It seemed like all he wanted to do was to prove that she made the guy in the park think the she was interested in him. I think he should have listened to what she was saying instead of putting it in his own interpretation of what happened. But this play is a dream that she had before she has to take the stand. Also I do not think that he would have asked all these questions in a real court room because I do not think that judge would have aloud it.

Critique on Ken Jaworowski review on “Trifles”

This review was more of a review because it did not include the director ‘s opinion of the play at all, and it was just a review of how everything was put together and what Jaworowski thought of the play. and I would think that the long pauses just about every few lines would get annoying but after a while would sound normal. Also in this review Jaworowski gave more information on the play like names of actors and what the lighting did to the mood of the play and some of who the technical people were in the play. Jaworowski also says that the play was never less than professional. I think that this was more informational and was more of a review.

Critique on Mark Blankenship’s review on “Trifles”

To me the review was more of an interview with O’Harra and also more of an explanation of why she did things differently in her version of the play. In Blankenship’s review all I really learned was why O’Harra did not want to include a battle of the sexes. And what she thought about the original play. This did not seem like a play review because he never really say much about Technical evaluation or Were the actors convincing in their roles? it was more of what the director of the play thought of the original play and how she changed it. Also I do not think that the long dashes were that long of pauses in the play just a short pause before they kept talking.

I really like this book that much especially when she started loving Mr. Mann and just ignored her best friend. I liked how she ended up liking Schuyler but she did not know why and he told her that he has always liked her, and when she kissed him under the street light it meant something to him. I did not expect Nine to do what she did in the auditorium and I like the way Schuyler reacted to it. I did not like how Nine wanted to hurt Mr. Mann so bad when she could have just let it go and be with Schuyler. I did not understand why it ended so fast and still have enough stuff to write about. I liked all the space references in the book and how she is so smart and ends up doing something stupid. The novel addresses the issue of falling in love with someone a lot older than you and also a teacher. Also that when something happens that you don’t want to happen don’t go to extremes to figure out why.

In Teach Me Carolina ends up falling in love with her new High School English Mr. Mann. They start seeing each other in private places and have an affair. She has fallen so madly in love with him that when she hears about him getting married, she makes it her point to understand why and to make him feel the why she feels. She ends up bringing her best friend, Schuyler, into her plans and he helps her to humiliate Mr.Mann. In the end Mr. Mann tells Carolina why he did what he did.

I got feed back in class helped me finish my paper I also got feedback from my high school English teacher and she helped me with revising my paper and staying in the right tense.
